The vice president of Transitional Sovereignty Council Emphasizes the Importance of Media

vice president of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar, has underscored the significance of media in shaping public opinion. During his meeting yesterday in Port Sudan, the capital of the Red Sea State, with the initiative “Media Support for the State” led by several journalists, Agar highlighted the need to review the decline in professionalism and focus on appearance over content despite technological advancements.
He further emphasized the necessity of effectively marketing the country and combating rumors, noting that the Rapid Support Forces militia had disseminated misleading news globally through fake media outlets.
Agar announced a workshop scheduled for the 13th and 14th of this month in Port Sudan, targeting over 150 journalists from various media outlets, in addition to official media representatives and Sudanese journalists from Egypt. He stressed the importance of providing constructive criticism accompanied by objective solutions during paper discussions to achieve a unified and distinctive media discourse that reflects the true image of Sudan
